Control Reversing Switch

Help! I have a Toyota. How I am supposed to stop it if it speeds out of control? Nothing works supposedly.?

This lady testified today that the electronics malfunctioned when she pressed the accelerator and her car sped out of control. She pressed both brakes, she put her car in neutral and then reverse. Nothing worked. She tried to turn off her car and it wouldn't turn off.

Toyota appears to be either clueless or deceptive about these electronic problems. They are simply recalling cars based on where the gas pedal was manufactured.

My car wasn't recalled yet. I'm wondering if I could switch gears into 2 or 1 or press cruise control and then move the speed downward with the cruise button. I know police cruisers have helped to stop these vehicles. Any ideas?

The lady who testified, did this.

She kept changing gears because she doesn't even know what those are....she thought she could stop the car by putting into those....well it gave her more power by downshifting...

WHAT TO DO:

if pedal is stuck....slam the brakes.....put it to neutral.....COMPLETELY COME TO A STOP....THEN TURN OFF THE ENGINE

if you turn off the engine while its in neutral and moving....you could lose your power steering and brakes....your car will be hard to control....

a dodge question for all you mopar guys.?

i have a 83 dodge truck, long wheel base, single cab. it had an engine fire that burnt up the wiring harness and i went and bought a wiring harness out of a dodge ramcharger close to the same year. they both had 318s in them so i figured there wouldnt be much difference. went to put it in and everything fit but the plugs to the transmission harness. it just two plugs comin out of the firewell from the trans. i think it just controls my reverse lights and neutral safety switch maybe a sensor or two. my truck does NOT have overdrive so im stuck. does anybody know if this ramcharger harness will fit my truck? could i maybe splice the wires to the trans. harness? if i can what color goes to what?

The harness should, "bolt in", fit, if it is not later than 1986. The wires from the transmission are Black, Black with a White tracer stripe, and Brown. SOME TRUCKS have purple, white, and black wires.
