can a normal camera see infrared light for night vision?

if i record video with my camera and have a IR light source nearby would it work like night vision? would i have to add any filters to the camera len?

Not officially. The sensors in digital cameras are sensitive to infrared, but most cameras have a filter that blocks out infrared almost entirely. Some cameras see do see it though. Try it?

By the way, a small infrared light source like a remote control won't be very good, like a really dim flashlight. You'll have to get a real infrared flashlight or illuminator to try this.

How is poetry like photography?

The subject, the background, the foreground

The light source, the camera angle, the focal length, the shutter speed, the depth of field

The paper, the cut, the border, the frame

To me it is! I'm a landscape photographer. Some of the greatest photographers of all time were so in touch with the subject that they were able to convey what it would have been like to be there at that moment in time when the shot was taken. Probably the best of all time, Ansel Adams. Look at some of his work. He was able to take pictures that people could look at and become emotional. Oftentimes, when I'm out with my camera I'll bring some poetry along, such as Robert Frost. For some reason it helps me see the field better and create better shots.
