What software is best to capture DVD frame thumbnails and create a single index jpg with all thumbnails.?

I need a software that can create thumbnails of my dvd on a given frameskip. (say every 10mins capture the frame) then put all these captured frames into 1 single image file sort of indexed there. i have seen this done but dont know what software was used. thanks a lot!

How to capture audio from DVD?

How do I capture the Audio from a DVD, I can only capture the image but I dont know how to caputer the Audio. Please help.

there are two ways to do the job, first u can use video editing softwares and use them to demultiplex audio from the mpeg stream on dvd (.VOB files located inside VIDEO_TS folder on dvd). such programs are high priced but there is another easy way:
u need an audio recording software. then tune the recording source for the sound card using its sofware or ms windows mixer and set it to "stereo mixing" or something like this (differs from sound card to another. u may need to mute the microphone and/or line-in sources also). then start recording and then start playback the dvd. in this case audio from dvd will be recorded by the recording software.
