does it bother you when people put H.I.D. lamps on their vehicles instead of halogens?

Most new luxury cars have High Intensity Discharge lights on them. They are metal halide lights, that put out a bright blueish white color that saves energy. Most common cars have Halogen lamps, which are dim and yellow in color. They burn a lot of energy too.

My problem is when people buy HID kits to put in their Halogen lamp housing on their older cars. This causes the new lights to be blinding. Because after all the Halogen housing was designed for a halogen filament, not an arc tube with gas.

Does this bother you?

Those blue lights are really strange, but I didn't even know you could put them in older cars.
