Is there anyone knows how to change a keyboard of Sony vaio vgn-n series laptop?

I have spilled soda on my laptop and the keys are so sticky. I want to change the whole keyboard but don't know how.

Replacing your SONY Notebook keyboard should not be that difficult and I have done a total of 3 on Dell Notebook PCs.

First you buy the specific genuine SONY VAIO vgn-n series keyboard, price varies but should be in $15 to $30 range with S&H.

For Dell their Technical Support website is GREAT and actually has the Service Manuals available on-line with step by step instructions and blow up schematics.

Basically one gently sticks a flat head screwdriver (padded to prevent scratches) in the side of the silver piece that runs along the top of the keyboard and gently prys it off. This exposes 2 screws holding down the keyboard and the most difficult part is separating the ribbon cable. Then one installs in reverse connecting the ribbon cable, etc,

How to use the F1 ... F12 on the computer keyboard?

I am always intrigued by the F1 to F12 keys on the computer keyboard ... can I program these keys as a kind of hotkey for a series of keyboard commands ... would be grateful if somebody can enlighten me on this matter >>>

F1 - Almost always the help key, the majority of Windows programs and many other software programs will open the help screen when this key is pressed.
F2 - No common function.
F3 - Often opens a search feature for many programs.
F4 - Commonly used to close and/or find something.
F5 - Refresh or Reload the page or document.
F6 - No common function.
F7 - Commonly used to spell check a document in Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.
F8 - Function key used to enter the Windows startup menu, commonly use to get into Windows safe mode
F9 - No common function.
F10 - No common function.
F11 -Full-screen mode in Internet browsers.
F12 - Save the page or document.
