How to fix color problem with s-video to rca, from laptop to tv???

I'm using an s-video to rca (yellow) cable going from my laptop to my tv. The picture is displayed fine but the problem is the color of it. Its very red and blue, kind of like a negative but with those colors. I've tried adjusting what I'm pretty positive to be everything there is to adjust to help change the color to normal but nothing changes. I've also used two different televisions. One of a higher quality than the other. I just want a clear normally colored picture.

i can tell you that going from s-video to rca is a crappy solution. the 2 signals chrominance (color) and luminance (brightness) are merged on the rca.
but this doesn't seem to be the problem. the chrominance signal seems to be missing the green part, so i suspect the fault is in the graphics adapter.

if you have a VGA output on the laptop, connect an external screen (in case you have one) and look what happen with the colors on there.

Photobucket is a great web based and FREE editing tools. The software behind it comes from Adobe who make some of the best commercial ($$$) photo and video editors. If you need/want more features downloading VideoSpin or VideoThang are great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. For under $100 you can buy Adobe Premiere Elements.
