What features and controls are available for an Enviornmental Control Unit for a quadriplegic to use?

I'm a quadriplegic and we are looking into getting an Enviornmental Control Unit now for myself mainly in my bedroom. I'm wondering if any of you have them yourselves and what features you have and think are the most needed and how you control them, are they all voice, and how well they work?

I have a product called SICARE. It has the ability, after set up, to control TV, a Tash telephone and other things. Is voice-activated. I'm not sure what else you want to know or what you want to control but if you have an it questions, e-mail me.

Is the transmission control unit included in having a rebuilt transmission put into your car?

I had a rebuilt tranny put in and now they are saying it needs this part, Im thinking, should this have been included with the replaced tranny???

I've been a mechanic for 25 years Sounds like the control unit was the problem all along you probably paid for a transmission you didn't need Computer controlled transmissions are designed to to default and preserve the transmission. The shop should have read the control unit with a scanner and solved that problem first BEFORE replacing the transmission
