Is it safe to use a higher Wattage Halogen Bulb for a Fiber Optic Snowman?

I have a Fiber Optic Snowman that I bought from AVON a few years ago. The bulb burned out and I can't find one anywhere.

It is a 12 volt 6 Watt Halogen Bulb. I found a 12 Volt 10 Watt bulb, but I don't know if it's safe to use a higher Wattage.

I tried it and it works, but I'm afraid it might not be safe. I only left it on for a couple of minutes. I Wouldn't want to start a fire.

but does anyone know where I could purchase a 6 Watt 12 Volt halogen bulb?

Halogen bulbs produce much more heat than incandescent ones. I would hesitate to try this. Always err on the side of caution. Is your home & family worth the gamble?
