USB cable loses connection with aiptek pencam,ideas on how to solve problem?

when i plug the usb cable in to the aiptek vga pencam, nothing comes up or it doesnt turn on, if i jiggle the cord for 5 mins, connection will be made and cam will come on, but if you move the cam or bump the plug posistion, then it loses connection again. It used to work with same computer and everything use to be fine, and now this happened all of a sudden. The cord is the right cord for the cam, but it falls out of the socket if you dont hold it in, or tape it. so does anyone have ideas on how to get connection back working? or is the camera bad now, and i have to get another one?

The problem is that the port on the camera is broken. There should be a small plastic base inside the port, see if it is missing. If it is, you need to get a new camera since these ports are not replaceable. Look inside the cable end, the same thing applies. If it is the cable that is missing the plastic insert then get another cable.

Unless you don't mind going around with a taped up camera.
