Can you convert a DVI plug to a single Coaxial plug?

I have an older (but good) video monitor I'd like to use for video editing to mirror the final output. But on my newer computer, it only has DVI outputs on the graphics card...

My video monitor only has the option for a single coaxial video signal in (not a BNC style, it's just 1 video port in) - that looks like a standard television coax cable connector...

Is there any way to down convert the DVI signal to a single video cable for this? I know the quality loss will happen, but it's just for fun. I can't find anything, only dvi->bnc type of things....Thanks.

Like you said, some type of D/A converter would probably be at least a couple hundred, and this analog monitor is pretty small...not worth it

Seeing that DVI is Digital and the older coaxial is most likely analog it won't work without some special equipment. And in the end, this equipment would cost more than a new wide format LCD monitor.

Crimping a BNC Connector on RG59 Cable - How to

BNC connector question?

I have a monitor that has BNC female conectors on it, there are 5 total. 3 of them are G--R--B (thats how they are in the back) the other two are HD--VD. My question is if I get a Bnc Male to RCA Female Video Connector and connect a green cable to the G and a Red cable to the R and a Blue cable to the B will it work (sorry for the poor terms not to sure on the terms I should use) I am tring to hook up a dvd player to it.

i believe the other 2 are vertical and horizontal sync so it probably wont work without them hooked up they may have adapters but its probably cheeper to get a new moniter
