Verizon Fios - compare to cable internet and DSL?

I do not have DSL available in my area but can either get cable internet or the new fiber optic service from Verizon called Fios. Anyone have it and what are pros and cons. I'm looking for faster downloading and ability to see videos, etc.

Internet disconnects when phone rings?

I am using Verizon FiOS... Fiber Optic technology... not DSL
So it can't be that I need a DSL Filter....
I have had Comcast for a long time, and I just switched to FiOS recently, and now I am having problems with my phone and internet...

Whenever there is an outgoing or incoming call, I get disconnected from my internet... Its especially annoying since I like to play online video games and I get disconnected from the game! bummer!

It would almost have to be a problem on verizon end. (either at the box on the side of your house or in the main box) Simply call them and they can send out a technician.
