Biopsy Valve

Has anyone had a thyroid needle biopsy? How was it? I'll appreciate all answers. Thanks/?

I have two large nodules that they want to check. I'm pretty nervous about it. Especially because I take coumadin for an articfical heart valve. Thanks again.

I had it done in my endocrinologists' office .It was over quickly and relatively painless. There was no bleeding ; and the nodule shrunk on my last visit .It does tend to make you nervous; but I learned they are very common .Mine turned up on a routine series of preventative exams .

my feet and ankles won't stop swelling..?

it's been going on for about a year, off and on. they don't hurt at all, i drink tea constantly and pee a lot, sometimes my hands feel a bit swollen too but not bad. my doctor didn't seem too concerned about it but it's very annoying and i'm starting to worry. i just had surgery (cone biopsy and LEEP) for abnormal cells so i've been in pain "down there" for quite a long time. i can't tell if i ever have a UTI or if it's just the cervix thing. i also have heart problems (tachycardia and mitral valve prolapse) and have been taking propranolol for about 2 years. does anyone else have the same problem? or any ideas on what it could be? thank you..

Put a pillow under your feet when you lay in bed. Keep your feet propped up as much as possible. Flex your ankles and rotate them a few times a day. If you sit too much it can cause problems.

If it hurts when you use the bathroom you might have a UTI. The only way to know for sure is to be tested. I had a UTI a few years ago and it went away pretty quick after I got medicine from my doctor. Just because you pee a lot doesn't mean you have a UTI. I drank green tea for a bit and when I did it made me have to pee more than usual. Caffeine makes you have to pee more often.

Your doctor may not know what is wrong, so you might want to try seeing another doctor. Unfortunately, a lot of doctors don't know what they are doing in some areas. I have heard too many stories of people finding out later on in life that they had a real problem.
