I'm having my first gyn exam next week?

And my friend was telling me that you don't have to use the stirrups, that there are different positions they can do it in? Is this true? Like, is it more comfortable doing one of the different ones?

And she also said they stick a little camera up there.... do they really do that, or was she making stuff up?

If you are nervous, don't be. Tell your gyn that it's your first time and I'm sure your doctor will make as comfortable for you as possible. Usually, they tell you what they will do before they do it. It does not hurt, it's just uncomfortable feeling that something is down there. It will be over before you know it. Just relax and think of something that you are looking forward to doing fun after the exam. You will be fine!

Only 3 weeks pregnant with 3 positive hpt and 1 positive blood test?

I took 3 hpt on thursday, went to the ob/gyn on saturday and the urine test was positive. I was extremely happy of course. Until they did an ultra sound and couldn't "see the pregnancy". She zoomed the camera in on my uterus, which was enlarged and they saw something that appeared to be a black speck on my uterus wall. She said that this could be the pregnancy. They took my blood and had me come in yesterday for more blood. She told me the blood test was positive but if my hormone levels do not increase, i had an early failed pregnancy and this is why she took more blood yesterday to confirm that i am pregnant. I AM SO WORRIED! SHOULD I HAVE ALL THESE SYMPTOMS AND 3 POSITIVE HPTS IF IM ONLY 3 WEEKS? COULD IT BE ECTOPIC? PLEASE HELP

You can not tell you are three weeks pregnant by an ultrasound. Everything is too small to see at that point, even with a vaginal ultrasound.

I kept getting negative hpts when I missed my period. At 5 weeks I finally got an positive blood test but started having some right side pain. They said an u/s would do no good at this point bc I wasn't far enough along and my hcg levels weren't high enough to be able to see anything yet. At 6 and half weeks I started to have some more spotting and cramping. So they did a vaginal ultrasound. All they could see was a tiny sac measuring 5 wks 3 days. No baby and no heartbeat. So they had me come back in a week. A week later they did another vaginal u/s and still saw only a sac measuring only 5 wks 4 days. Still no baby, no heartbeat. And they saw what they thought was blood in my uterus. So the tech said to us "I think you have a failed pregnancy called a blighted ovum" we were devestated! The Dr called me later on to say she was sorry and that we could come in to talk about our options. I asked her how could thin be, I was having no real symptoms of a miscarriage and my hcg levels had been rising. She said that happens sometimes and we would do one more ultrasound in a week to see if there was any change but in her experience, there wouldn't be. By almost 8 weeks we should have seen something. So a week later we went in and this time they tried the tummy ultrasound and still saw nothing. But when they did the vaginal, finally, there was our little baby and his heart beating away! He was 9 lbs 4 oz when he was born and will be one this month

So what I am trying to say, is hang in there and don't give up hope just yet. You are still very very early for them to be diagnosing you yet.
