Why are heads getting cut off when i develop pictures?

I go to Walgreen's photo, use their kiosk with my memory card. Why is it parts of the heads get cut off. I didn't crop it at all (and there was nothing wrong with the photos I took either with my digital camera).

The standard paper sizes don't all fit the same proportions as your camera's sensors. Three by four, four by six, eight by ten, nine by twelve all have different proportions, length to width.

Those automatic machines at the kiosks have no way of knowing what part of an image is important. All it tries to do is make as much of the imge you give them to fit onto the print size you select. So, if the kiosk's software has to crop off part of the photo to make it fit, it just does.

Next time, when you are looking at the digital image on the kiosk's screen, YOU do the cropping for it. Make a cropping square at the same size as the print, and you move the square around until you have what you need within the border of that square.

You can also save yourself a lot of grief and work by not framing your shots with the head so close to the edge of the viewfinder when you take the picture.

Cloverfield???

Oh my i just saw that movie last week and to be honest, with all that camera running around my head got dizzy. In some parts of the movie was good but after running and going up the stairs i felt like i was on some kinda spinning top. UHHH. anyway what did you think of the movie and yeah lol i know sounds like im a total dork but thats the latest buzz of that movie.

The movie did not make me dizzy, faint, or make me throw up. It's the same idea as The Blair Witch Project. Except The Blair Witch Project was much, much, much, more entertaining. Cloverfield was very disappointing. The hype around the movie was more exciting than the actual movie.
