If you swallowed a piece of string long enough . . .?

Would you be able to pass it through, so that one end is hanging out you mouth and the other end is hanging out your anus?

Obviously it would have to be thin enough not to choke on and still be able to breathe and be able to withstand stomach acid.

I saw those people that 'flossed' their nasal passage by having a piece of string that went up the nose down the throat and back up out the mouth so basic principle but through the whole digestive system. I mean they can perform an Endoscopy [swallowing a camera cable] to see into your stomach so . . .
lol I have no intention of trying it I was just genuinely curious to know if it would be possible.

Blame 3 am overactive mind and insomnia for these creative yet wildly mental sporatic bursts.

It's probably possible, though it'd be difficult to thread something through the entire GI tract (it's about 20 feet long). I mean, I've seen dogs pass pieces of yarn, tooth floss and rope more or less intact, so at least I can say for sure that these things can withstand stomach acid (in dogs, anyway).
