Endoscopy Gastroscopy

Can a person have more than one av malformation in the body?
Last year my husband had two episodes of hematemesis or vomitting of blood. He underwent series of tests like gastroscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, gi series, etc. He also had an abdominal ct scan, wherein they found what they suspect to be an av malformation in the spleen. An angiogram was performed and true enough he had av malformation in the spleen. Subsquently he underwent spleenectomy. Everything went well. But after a few months, or roughly 9 months after he felt weakness on his left hand and arm. He was advised to drink b-complex vitamins. Its now almost a year after his operation and he still feels weakness on his left arm. A doctor recommended physical therapy, and another said that he might have another av malformation in other parts of his body particularly in the brain. Is this possible? Does the symptom he now feels suggest that there is an av malformation in his brain?
While it's certainly possible there are more AV malformations, it would be hasty to conclude so based on weakness in the left arm. There are a few clues an examiner might use to determine what's causing the weakness. Reflexes are one. If the reflexes in the left arm are diminished, that's evidence of a problem with the muscle or motor neurons directly supplying the muscles of the arm, or maybe a pinched nerve leaving the neck. If the reflexes are hyperactive compared to the right arm, that might be evidence for damage to a higher motor neuron, which could possibly implicate something in the brain.
Nobody can answer this question except a doctor who performs an appropriate history and physical. It's definitely a problem that could be worked up with a minimum of difficulty.

Interventional Endoscopy in Hepatology $205.52 Diagnostic and interventional endoscopy has made rapid progress in recent years. Several methods are still under development and need to be properly evaluated. Bile duct diseases may have a negative impact on theliver, so early diagnosis and minimal invasive treatment options are important. Liver transplantation is now established for the treatment of liver failure. Hepatic surgery may lead to problems in the bile ducts which canbe treated by endoscopic intervention. A broad spectrum of indications for interventional endoscopy in hepatology exists. This book, the proceedings of Falk Symposium No. 116, held in Basel, Switzerland, October 25 1999(Part III of the Basel Liver Week 1999), describes the state of the art and new developments in endoscopy for these treatments, and contains chapters by wellknown experts from all over the world. I know that I have to be a doctor but what should I major in? Radiology?
You have quite a list! You will end up narrowing this list down--you've covered several specialties. but if you're looking at your undergraduate work, that's fine--you can decide on a specialty later.
You need a pre-med oriented major--probably in biology. But you'll need a strong base in chemistry (probably you'll be required to do that in a good bioloby program, though). But also a strong base in physics--radiology MRIs, and such are based on physics.
